Cloud-based password management platform for business teams
4.5/5 (4 reviews)Passwork is a cloud-based password management platform - available as a SaaS or via on-premise installation - that targets the needs of corporate businesses. Designed to assist collaboration between groups and teammates while also suitable for use by individuals, the system guarantees safe storage of an unlimited number of passwords in a structured context. Passwords are arranged into secure "vaults" and folders that teammates and contacts can be invited by email to have shared accessibility, using special codes to enable those users not already registered with Passwork. Access permissions can also then be set to make access read only, limited to folder listings only, read & edit, full access and also Administrator level permission where any top-level actions are granted. With shared passwords users can then login to websites and restricted services with a single click, using AES-256 and RSA encryption technologies as part of its multilevel data protection system.
Passwork goes on to aid general password management with search functionality, while also allowing tagging and colored labeling. Any existing password data can be imported in bulk via CSV, providing a choice of delimiters and the ability to skip title lines etc. Aside from setting custom access permissions for vaults and folders, Passwork also tracks activities around vaults to timestamp opened passwords according to user and group. The platform's centralized online security dashboard provides analysis on general security status. By flagging the presence of weak, old or expired passwords, admin users are able to eliminate risks and also revert back to old password versions where necessary. Passwork is multi-lingual too for international use, while also supported by its own API and companion native apps for iOS and Android devices.
Pros
My company is using Passwork for more than a year and I'm quite happy about it. Very good solution for startups (I can recommend a cloud-based version) as well as for companies with a large number of employees (in this case self-hosted edition will fit better). Had some questions — support was really fast and friendly. Pricing is very nice as well.
Cons
Passwork is not so famous as LastPass or 1Password, maybe someone will consider it as a disadvantage. But for me it's not a problem at all — I will always choose not so hyped software, but with great features, good support and for the reasonable price.
I have been using Passwork for the past few months now and I can no longer live without it. It has allowed me to increase the complexity of my passwords while not having to worry about forgetting them. The system is very easy to use but is still very secure and safe. Great value!
I love Passwork! Ease of use across all platforms makes it perfect for my family. No unnecessary features - just the core required to easily manage credentials.
would be nice to be able to store information in more formats than just what is offered. Insert notes etc.
