Free collaboration platform for teams
4.6/5 (13 reviews)Pros
It's free. You get the very similar interaction and use out of this product as you do its more widely known competitor - Slack. The interface is very similar, so if you're transitioning, it's a pretty smooth process. Also, if you're transitioning from Slack, Ryver has an awesome import utility to bring over all your content and history.
Cons
The only thing I dislike about this product is its method of API. It uses Zapier, which does charge a fee for 6 or more integrations. Plus, when using Zapier, for like integrating RSS feeds, it uses your profile as the identifier in the chat. So if a status update comes through, it uses my profile pic with the comment, instead of a generic RSS feed icon. That's kind of lame because it may appear to some users that a person is typing it out.
we save costs by using a free version that meets our needs
Pros
Surprising, simple and clean interface, but very functional, it is possible to do many more things than just talk. integrates activities conversations and tasks, it seems to me that it differentiates itself from the others, that when assigning a task, it shows the avatar of the person who is assinated
Cons
The application for PC really does not seem better than the web application, we have also had the problem that some team members who use mini laptop, and the browser only shows the verison for mobile. the chat tends to confuse, about which department, activity or group is talking
I am using ryver since last 2 years.
It is best software.
Pros
Ryver is easy to use software for communication in team or group.
For communication you can create team and add team members from your organization and from outside the organization. You can also create task for individuals.
Cons
I think there is no cons for this software.
But there is limitations for files, you can not upload multiple files at a time
Pros
Creating lists, assigning tasks, and managing deadlines were made really easy with Ryver. My manager used it in a audio-visual warehouse setting, and it was a really great tool. The ability to create tasks and assign them to people was super useful. Also, the UI was very unobtrusive.
Cons
Cost is a little high in comparison to some other competing services, of which there are many.
Fabulous.
Pros
Easy to Use , Awesome product.Provide social media type conversation. GIF avail by Ryver i like.
Cons
Older message date should be display in proper format with proper date and time
Pros
Good communication product for the organisations and nice feature to create the private channels for the group discussions.
Cons
Cost is high though less popular among the people.
Pros
Ryver has provided the missing link we've needed for team communication. It's been helpful to create channels for specific groups, projects, and tasks.
Cons
Having used Slack previously, it does feel a little lacking in some areas. There's no one specific example to point to, it just feels like the UX could be a little stronger.
Awesome.
Pros
Easy to use . Wonderful product .Provide social media like platform for office conversation.
Cons
Proper post of comment time should be visible.
Pros
Great to have different teams so you can have group chats with different groups and you can also direct message if you only want to talk to one person. The topics are helpful to keep organized and its nice that you can archive it when you are done with them.
Cons
I wish they had a shared calendar option where we could put notes and events. I also wish you could direct message with two people (if its one a time thing instead of starting a private group just for that)
I've been using Slack's paid version for last 5 months and its awesome, loved every bit of it. However a side project needed me to try something similar and I stumbled upon Ryver.
Here they took everything good from Slack (even the user experience and the feel) and made it better. Plus they wanted to drive the real nail in the coffin by making it 100% free and no-ads.
I do not need the integration with other apps Slack offers but even if I did, I'd rather have a better version of it, which is Ryver.
This is not a paid review and if Ryver ever goes wonky I'll edit this review. I'm not loyal to any brand, I'm loyal to good products and services and try help spread the word of mouth.
Hope you guys give Ryver a shot
Pros
Ryver was so easy to set up. I love that it has a desktop version and a very nice mobile version. Being able to create private groups for our projects is a great feature, as is the ability to send a broadcast message.
Pros
This attractive and functional alternative to Slack is perfect for those who want the Slack experience in the classroom. Student accounts are easily managed and channels are easily archived.
Cons
While there are several administration settings available, the software is missing the ability to moderate student posts.
It's completely free and offers a very useful collaborative experience for any size of team.
